Just About The Most
Beautiful Place in The World

When I was a child  there where were times when I thought I must live in the most beautiful place in the world.  I would like to tell you about it .

Although  the house was very old,  in the summer time there were  roses  that filled one side of the yard  and  White Locust Blossoms  filled the other side.  Our house sat well upon some huge boulders and we were able to crawl under there for a hiding place when we played hide and seek.

The house was on a hill over looking  Blue  River Valley.   When one came out of the house and down the steps to the porch there was a  level place then down hill  a little to a plateau  which made a nice resting place under the Locust Trees,  then   down a little farther to another plateau then a steep place down to the road .     That steep place down near the road was where I had trouble one winter getting up the incline because of the snow.

Note

I got the name "pentecostalsongs.com" for my mother-in-law Rose, a Pentecostal preacher, because I thought she might like to preserve some of the great gospel songs she sings with her sons and daughter.

It turned out that she preferred writing stories about her childhood which, appropriately, sometimes include some great old songs.

Rose once asked me if she should perhaps change the name of her Website. But I think when you read these sweet stories of an innocent time, you will agree with me that these stories are the record of an era, of a people, of a faith. They are surely Pentecostal songs.
